email address in enquiry form not appearing in notification email

Asked by chilton1199 on December 13, 2011 at 06:58 AM

When I receive the notification email the email address line is blank (but the phone number is there).  It is there if I go to the website and look at the submissions.

If I'm not mistaken, you have edited already your e-mail notification and then you edited next your form.  To fix this, you can simply create a new e-mail notification, or you can do the following steps:

    1. Edit your form
    2. Click E-mail Alerts
    3. Open your e-mail notification.
    4. Put your mouse cursor on the body of your e-mail notification. (preferably right after the e-mail address variable.
    5. On the right part of the e-mail notification, under "Form Fields", click the item that represents your e-mail address field.

    6. Delete the old e-mail address variable
    7. Click the Finish button and save your form

    * Variables are place holders that will automatically change when filled up by your form.  These are enclosed by curly brackets.  Example: {emailaddress}

    Thanks.

I have done as istructed, but the response goes to a different premises to the one I am in, and everyone there has gone home now.  I will check it tomorrow and get back to let you know how it went.

And can I take this opportunity to say how impressed I always am with the support I get.  Yours is really the only 'help' option I have ever dealt with which really does feel as if it wants to help and make my life easier - and doesn't make me feel like I am some sort of alien species they are obliged (reluctantly) to deal with.

Great help, I cannot praise you all highly enough.

    Thanks again

Thank you for your kind and heart warming remarks, Mandy.  We do love to help and would like to have users enjoy using JotForm in the best possible way we can.

I also have checked your form and I can confidently say that it will definitely work this time.  Also, you can set your e-mail notifications to send to more than one e-mail address.  Just have the e-mail addresses separated by comma in your To: field.

    Example: me@email.com, you@email.com

You can also create more than one e-mail notification if you wish to have a separate e-mail layout content.

If you have other questions or concerns, just let us know.  We'll be more than happy to give you assistance.
