I currently have the 'Premium' subscription and it doesn't expire until December.
I would like to upgrade to the Bronze, but does that mean the last 4 months of my current subscription stops? That would mean I have wasted $40 as I paid for the year.

Sorry about the confusion. That email was actually only intended for Free users.
You will keep your existing low prices as long as you wish to keep you subscription. All existing subscriptions are grandfathered. The new prices only apply to new subscriptions.
So, no, you don't have to do anything else to lock in the low prices. You already have them.
Your Premium account is already the Bronze account. You can continue keeping the current subscription price as long as you continue renewing again your subscription (example, on December, if you continue your subscription and renew -- it will still use the original price)
