setting a cookie (loose) to prevent multiple submissions - will this give the problem below?

I have gradually been modifying my Adobe FormsCentral forms to run out of JotForm - and have found it somewhat of a steep learning curve after using Adobe for so many years!

Having set a few forms with 'loose' authentication the problem below has suddnly occurred to me :

    Background

I run several monthly (e.g. lecture) booking forms that simply repeat from month to month.

    - after one month's booking form closes I download the submissions then I just delete all the existing submissions, re-edit the title, date and venue in each form before re-opening it for a new month's bookings.

    Question

If I set the 'loose' cookie option to prevent multiple submissions will this cookie 'persist' from month to month on a member's computer thus preventing any member who has booked in a previous month booking successfully in subsequent/future months?

    Hi,

The cookie will persist as long as the users browser allows it to, there is no expiration.  It depends on how long their their browser settings are set to keep them.  If they clear their browsers cache/cookies, they will be able to immediately submit the form once again.   If they do not have any settings that clear cookies and do not do so manually, the cookie should persist indefinitely and prevent them from submitting the form.

If you have any further questions, let us know and we will be happy to help.
