Can I copy a value from a field and paste it back into itself with additional data?
Here's what I'm trying to accomplish - I have a hidden text area field that I'm trying to populate with details from multiple questions above on the form so that I can display it on the thank you page. I want to take the text that is already in the field and just add to it based on new conditions.
I tried this in a form, but it looks like the condition is evaluating more times than I expected, so it is duplicating the information multiple times.
Here's my simple example - http://form.jotform.us/form/52174707722152
If you select 1 and then 5 I want it to say on the thank you page "You selected 1 You selected 5"
This is a re-post of a comment on How to Pass Field Value to Another Field?

I did check the form which you are trying to build. The way you are inserting the texts in the "comment to display" filed will not help you achieve your requirement. The condition you have added will always add a new text every time the condition is triggered. That means if you select option 1 and the select option 2, the comment field will display two different texts.
Why don't you take advantage of our "Form Calculation" widget to achieve your requirement. You can add formula in the widget to read the selected value. Here are the steps you should follow:
#1. Set the calculation values of the radio button questions.
#2. Add "Form Calculation" widget in form.
#3. Configure the widget to display the values as text.
#4. Add the field name of the radio button question in the widget to read the value.

Please take a look at the following cloned form and see if this works as expected: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/52175575525965? Feel free to clone the form for a closer look. The following guide should help in form cloning: https://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

Just what I wanted to do. Thank you.
Now if only we could get the text to display on separate lines.

It is possible to use a Text Area to get the multiline output. You will need to use <br> line break html tag to display the text on separate lines.
Please see the next animation.
