Allow Spinner Field to be set as an output in the Conditional Logic

I have a spinner field {HowManyDogs} with possible values 0,1,2,3,4 and based on the entry in another field I need to be able to set it to value "0"

Is this possible? I'm hoping not to have to rework my form with another field type as it has a lot of conditional logic hanging off it.

    Hi,

May I know how you would like it to set conditionally? I cloned your form and checked it out, and it seems you indeed have a lot of conditions.

I made a test form and tried setting up the spinner field using conditions, but it seems like it is not allowed to be set as an output.

I will need to forward this to our developers to have it checked. For the meantime, you might need to clone your form and use a different input type instead. The text box can be set to a validation for numeric values only.

We'll update you on this thread when the spinner field has been allowed in the output.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

I am putting an earlier question in which, depending on the answer would render the asking of the {Howmanydogs} question irrelevant so I would like to be able to automatically set it to 0 based on an earlier question.

I figured I would need to redesign the form using a different input type but was hoping to avoid it as it would mean redefining a lot of the conditions which are attached to that field along with possible logic flow changes too :)

Any idea how long it might take to get the Spinner field added as an allowable output? :)

Unfortunately, I'm unable to specify a time frame on this as it will depend on the current workload of our developers.

But, you could try deleting the field but make sure that the new field will bear the same field name/label, it should then inherit some of the conditions, but not all of it, that would at least lessen some work?

Here's a screencast, I copied the field label for the spinner, added a number field instead and pasted the field name there. It inherited some of the conditions.

You can then check the saved conditions to easily track what conditions have the deleted field show.

I know its quite a lot of work, but I hope it helps somehow. It would be better to have different version of your form in case the fix on the spinner field is still undefined.

We will update you on this thread when we hear any news on the spinner field.

    Apologies for the trouble.

No that's great, I'll clone it and have a play. Am loving JotForm. I've managed to build a booking form with built in pricing rules on a FREE APP - which is F**KING AWESOME!

Just refining it now so that's just jam on top!
