Stripe Integration on a form already, but need a Card reader

We are based in Australia and use some of our Jotform forms for payment processing via your Stripe integration.

We urgently need to find a card reader to add to our solution.  We have a few questions:

1/ There are a few NFC (and similar card readers) that run on Android devices (we tend to use Android), but we need to understand whether these will be compatible with Jotform and specifically, the Jotform Stripe integration.

2/ Assuming there are Jotform compatible card reader solutions, we then need to find out what is available in Australia.

I decided it best to ask you first rather than speak to Stripe as the first step in assuming compatibility is that Jotform must be abler to handle the comms and data coming via the reader.

Any thoughts and assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, this feature is currently not available in JotForm. The only option for you to be able to use the Stripe integration is to input the card numbers manually.

That is not the answer I was expecting or hoping for - very disappointing.

Manual entry of credit card details is not going to be effective for the particular.solution we need - high volume processing at large events.  Our staff are already complaining and preferring a fallback standard cred card machine which is not integrated with any data entry form (not what we really want to use).

Looks like we are going to be unfortunately seeking a different forms solution that will support Stripe and Card Readers.

We understand your disappointment on this. However, the feature you are looking for is not currently available in JotForm. This feature will need in depth functionalities since this requires a connection between hardware (i.e NFC that runs on android) and software which we do not handle at this moment.
