Browser-specific fail, get error that "Field can only contain numeric values" for Explorer and Chrome, not FirefoxAsked by John Kane on August 19, 2015 at 01:09 PM
In the field "Colony 1 - City, State, Zip of Colony" this field accepts text and numeric data when the user accesses the form with Firefox (I'm using v 40.0.2). However, if using Windows Explorer (W7 and W10 both checked) or Chrome (using Version 44.0.2403.155 m), the error message "Field can only contain numeric values" displays.
This form has been up for several months with multiple successful completions. This problem appears to be very recent.
To my understanding you are having a field validation issue based on your above explanation.
I've checked this with both alphanumeric characters where you've displayed the problem on your provided screenshot above but I seem to be unable to replicate this same issue in the latest versions of Chrome and IE on my end.
I'd suggest clearing your browser cache then trying this again to see if that makes any difference.
If this issue continues for you though please do let us know and we will gladly investigate it more.
