My conditional fields are not working

Asked by Rebecka58 on August 20, 2015 at 09:55 AM

    Hello,

Can you please take a look at the conditional fields I have set up? These are not working on my 'finished' form (when I attempt to use it on my website). When I click on the check box for 'Solid Surface - Other', the conditional field doesn't pop up (for me to be able to fill in). Same is true of the 'Quartz - Other' and the 'Granite - Other'.

    Thanks.

    Hello Ursula

It seems your conditions are referring to themselves causing a cyclic dependency, since you are evaluating a selection on a field then setting that field to show on the same conditions.

Could you kindly explain what you are trying to hide/show based on the surface types selection, the usual when using checkboxes or radiobuttons is if a checkbox is checked another field is either shown or hidden based on your criteria.

Thanks, I was afraid that I might have been causing that type of 'cyclic dependency' hence, I've tried a number of combinations. The crazy thing is that I copied these conditions from the form where it's working fine to my other form where it's not. I don't understand why my conditions work on one but not the other.

From which form did you copy the conditions, could you provide a link so that I can look at the conditions

I just used the 'conditions' tab at the top of the page to create the conditions.

Here's the links to both of my forms:

Order form (where my conditions work- under 'Materials' I only want the materials that have 'other' to have conditions associated)

And this is where those same conditions don't work:

I checked your form and the conditions appear to be properly setup and working:

Have you got things sorted?  The form appears to work as it should:

Not sure what you mean by sorted, sorry. I'm just going to include all of the 'hidden' fields at this point. I see that it does work as it should on your link. Unfortunately, it doesn't on my end. I really am at my wits end.
