A public changelog of interface and backend changes on JotForm

    Hi Ben,

thanks, I am familiar with Pingdom and the type of status it provides. What I mean is a change log similar to other enterprise tools when modifications occur.

For example, yesterday the thank you message tool was upgraded to the new tool format. And around a month ago the text field upgraded to the new WYSIWYG. But we are not notified of these, and on launch they often cause issues with changes, bugs, and conflicts.

What I do for most software we run is when software changes occur, we test the change, then notify my users of the change, what the new interface is like, and any bugs or glitches to look out for.

But with Jot form is it just "oh look this changed" and then I have to find these on my own and don't know know how long its been different or not working. sometimes a change will happen at an awful time, and throws off schedules.

Here is an example of a chnage log from a popular wordpress template that I think illustrates this.

An example for you Ben, would be how would you know what date the new wysiwyg went live for the text tool?

Example porblmes cuased from this week: Did you know the new editor for the Thank you messages doesn't have a font selector on it?

I have the tell my team to manually input the html beforehand or copy and paste in there as a result.

A changelog that we could see and or subscribe to would be helpful.

    thanks,

I have forwarded this thread to our higher-ups as a feature request. I can certainly see the usefulness of a public changelog, but as our developers already have a lot of work on their hand, we can't give any estimates on when this might be worked on.

I would also like to point out that software development at JotForm is quite dynamic, so such a changelog would likely have to be updated fairly frequently.

If or when a public changelog of our changes is implemented, we will be sure to let you know through this thread. Until then, it is best to keep an eye on our blog:

This is where you'll find most announcements regarding our software or interface upgrades.

    Thank you.
