Prepopulating form fields fails in iframe embed methodAsked by zobisatt on August 22, 2015 at 02:45 PM
Hi! Im following your guides to pre-populate forms using URL Parameters and it works perfectly when I try to pre-populate using the link JotForm generates for my form. But when I try to embed it to my wordpress page using iFrame and follow the same trick, the pre-populate fails. Here is the page where my form is embedded:
And here is the URL I use to test if the pre-population works:
Unfortunately, pre-populating fields in iframe embed method is not possible for now. Please use the default embed method instead.
You can also use our embed form plugin for WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/embed-form/.
Lastly, I see that you have the website link prepopulated in the URL, you can use our Get Referrer widget if the form is embedded to multiple websites.
Here's how to add a widget in your form: https://www.jotform.com/help/252-How-to-Add-a-Widget-to-your-Form.
Hi. This is the same person who started the initial thread..I am replying from another account that I created specifically for the client.
I have posted a new HTML page on my website with the form embedded as a script as you suggested. On my end, the prepopulating works fine..but for some other users that are testing..the forms opens as normal but the prepopulating fails. Here are the links:
