    Upload form size. Does the cache get cleared once a form is submitted?

    Hi,

    I understand that, with a free account, we have a 100 mb limit on uploads.  We will have quite a few people submitting forms and are worried we will exceed the 100 mb limit.  We have set our file size limit to 1 mb but are worried if we get more than 100 submissions then our limit will be exceeded. 

    Does our storage cache get cleaned out once a file has been submitted?

    Hi Paul,

    Does our storage cache get cleaned out once a file has been submitted?

    The answer is no. Each type of subscription plan have allocation for storage space. Like for the FREE account, it is 100MB allocated storage.

    Every time you have upload submissions in your form, the uploaded file will be stored in JotForm. This is how the account allocated storage accumulates. Once you have used up your allocated storage space, the account will go to Overlimit Status and forms will temporarily stop receiving any upload submissions as well as submission of forms.

    The only way to clear and retain the allocated storage used, is to delete submissions that have uploaded files on them.

    Example, if your free account had already used up 50MB of allocated space, if you want to bring it back to 100MB again, then you will need to delete submissions that have uploaded files that is worth 50MB in total size.

    You can use integrations also that allows storage using 3rd party apps. Like Dropbox, Google Drive, FTP, Box.net

    So what you can do is, once you are sure the the uploaded submissions have already been copied to your Dropbox, or google drive.. or whichever integration you used, you can now delete the submission in your form. You can delete them in the View Submission page.
