Your Credit Card Field does NOT work on iPAD

Asked by mmartin077 on December 29, 2011 at 07:08 PM

I have implemented your forms on my website.  I use credit card enter information.  I have learned that on the iPAD, the credit card information shows up with commas and does not work.

You might want to look into this.

    Hello Michael,

Please replace your credit card Number field with the simple Text Box field, it should solve the problem.

Mentioned Number element is just not designed for credit card information.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I'm already using a Text Field with Numeric Only validation.

    Any other ideas?

If I'm not mistaken, this is an issue with Apple's iOS 5 and Safari for iPhone and iPad.   May we know the iPad version that you're using, including the software version?

I'll pass this issue to our development team and let them take a look at this case.  They will respond to this thread as soon as they have answers.

    Thank you for your patience.

Hey just discovered this, and am currently experiencing the same issue, using the authorize.net payment tool.  I have Safari 5.10.  Is it really just an incompatibility with no fix?
