I need a better editor of answers, Like FormsCentral

Maybe I've been asking this all wrong.  I need a better response/result editor than the one I see in JotForm.  I need to be able to edit fields on my answers with data I provide for each one.  I can't use the API's it seems for a bunch of reasons I've run into.

 

So, how can I edit my data in more of an excel format, to navigate in the large data, not one record at a time?

Unfortunately, when editing submissions, you need to click the "Edit" button on each one and click the "submit" button again to update it in our data center.

You can also use the edit link as mentioned in this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/40-How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date.

 

If you want to edit it in an excel type format, it is not possible using our system, but you can easily download an excel file of all your submissions and edit it there, or integrate Google Spreadsheet to your form.

The point is to edit on JotForm, if I download it, can I re-upload the changes as an update to the response? Is there not an App built for this either?

You can use this Import Data App to re-upload the excel submissions to your form: http://apps.jotform.com/app/import_data. Unfortunately, I believe it won't replace those that are in the form's submission, which means it will create a duplicate. But this won't trigger the notifications to send because we're not editing the submission but rather uploading new ones.
