Option to Send User {duplicate_submission} link

This is exactly what I'm looking to do, but I'm having a hard time doing it in the updated version of jotform. I would like the user to be able to have the option of cloning a previous submission so the reply you sent December 25 at 11:02 AM seems to be applicable. However, this is how I see it on my end:

Can you please walk me through the steps?

Can you please tell us Wendy what is the form that you are trying to set this up on as well as which steps did you try to follow?

The first one with URL-prepopulating or the second one with history back js code?

Sure - form is http://form.jotform.us/form/50334191902145. I don't think the URL-prepopulating is what I am looking for. I believe your most recent post is what I am most interested in trying to do. In fact, it's exactly what I'm trying to do. I would like our staff to be able to pull up a previous submission of theirs and be able to essentially clone it and resubmit as a new submission. I tried editing the "thank you" page but wasn't successful and not entirely sure what URL to include. Thanks in advance. 

That is actually not what I am trying to do. It would be too difficult to prepopulate with all the fields we have in our form. Our staff uses this form often with different criteria, but there are times when the submission needs to be cloned changing only a few items. Those items are discretionary though so it doesn't make sense to prepopulate specific fields, rather clone the exact submission giving them the option what to change. As mentioned above, this is what I would like to do however jotform looks like it has gone through some changes since this was resolved:

They also need to be able to choose which previous submission to clone because not all submission will have the same information. Can the prepopulator be specific to each submission? Is the user able to choose which submission to prepopulate?

The workarounds that are presented will only allow the user to enter data again immediately after completing the form.  If you are looking to allow users to return to the form, select a submission, then have that data populated into the new form automatically, this is not possible at this time.  This would require the forms to be able to query your submission data directly, which they are not capable of.

Is there an opportunity to make this a feature? I like that we can include an "edit link" in the autoresponder. It would be just as useful to have a "clone link" as well. Or to at least resubmit a former submission as a NEW submission rather than EDIT over the existing one. 

No, because there are too many submissions per user that they would need to choose which previous submission to duplicate.
