Paypal Shipping not getting weights?

  • rickvv
Asked on September 4, 2015 at 10:08 AM

My form is set to have weights in the Shipping, and PayPal has a shipping method using weight also.

Then I submit, the prices of the product are sent into PayPal, but not the weights for shipping calculation totals.

Can someone look into this form to see if I've missed something, or does it look like a mistake in my PayPal settings?

    Thanks very much,

    rickvv

I was trying to find the issue by cloning your JotForm to my account and added my sandbox PayPal account. While searching the forum, I was able to find the following thread where one of our users has actually find the issue and provided with the solution.

In short, there is a setting under shipping calculations in the PayPal account to use the shipping fee in the transaction which needs to be selected as No.

After changing this option, I am now able to see the shipping cost after redirecting to PayPal.

Hope this information helps. Please change the setting in your PayPal account as well and see if that helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance. We will be happy to help.

I looked at that answer and completely missed that setting. I had two shipping settings in Jotform (priority and ground), and one had the "no" dot, and one didn't.

When I changed the dot to "no" on both, it just started working.

Thanks for pointing me to that other thread!

(PayPal's wording on those options is very strange).

    Thanks again!!

Yea thats great and all, but if they don't provide a zip code, then they dont have to pay shipping. I am having that problem right now. So far i've come out of pocket 3 orders and counting. I can't figure this out....

my website is www.betterinvestmentgraphics.com and my store papypal buttons will give free shipping even though my settings are reflected here.
