Import Data App gives a time difference in Submission Date when imported to Jotform

    Hi,

When Including 'Submission Date' column in template file for data import the loaded result give a time difference of 6h00 between loaded time and registered time.

This is probably due to the fact that the loaded date is considered as system time but not local time, as we are based in Paris that make the difference with US Eastern time.

So if I load 2015-19-11 10:00:00 it will display as submission time 2015-19-11 16:00:00

Although I can cope with it by fiddling with dates on Excel prior to load it, Is there any plan to fix it?

    Regards,

    Georges

I guess you are talking about something like this:

You can set this up through your Account Settings:

This should change the existing submissions date and time to your local time.

    Hi Jeannette,

My account is already set to Paris time and all is working fine for any standard submission but I get this 6 hours difference when doing data import with "created_at" field included in the data set.

    Georges

    Hi Georges,

If you will check the "Submission Date", this should match the DateTime field in your CSV or Excel File. If this is unchecked, the date will be based on today's date with your own timezone settings.

Do you still have the excel file to import? Can you share us a small part of the data so we can try it to our end? Or, if you can try it again and take a screenshot of the issues, that would be great so we can forward this directly to our developers.

I actually tried the import process and it's giving me a correct date:

    Thanks

    Hi Welvin,

I confirm that submission date registered during import process is with a 6 hours offset of the CSV date field (6h because my account is set to Paris Time (GMT+1)).

    Here is some CSV Data:

Thanks for providing more details. I was able to reproduce the problem when I set my account to your timezone. There's indeed 6hrs added on the submissions date. The same issue occurs even on my timezone . It simply converts my time into EST time, so 4:00:00 outputs 16:00:00 (12hrs offset).

I have now raised this to our developers for further investigation and hopefully find a solution. You will be informed here once this is fixed.

    Thanks!
