isbittAsked on September 14, 2015 at 2:03 PMI wouldn’t mind some help on the calculation aspects
Im looking for a user to enter a value, say £1000 and the form provides the gross figure including 20% VAT alongside it.
So 1000 entered and a ‘greyed out’ box alongside it shows ‘1200’ as it includes the 20% VAT
Is this possible, and what option so I select ?
Many thanks -

Hi,
For calculations in your form, you can use a calculation widget:
http://www.jotform.com/help/259-How-to-perform-calculation-in-the-form
Then setup your calculation to take the number entered, multiply it by the tax, then add it back to the original number:
This will give you the total plus tax.
Here is a quick copy of your form with the calculation added:

You can clone it to your account if you would like:

If you have any further questions, let us know and we will be happy to help.

Thanks for your help,I would appreciate your help with this one
When the user selects a reason code “Bill Rate” the below 3 boxes show up. This works on the conditions section which is great
[cid:image007.jpg@01D1206B.F9213E70]
However im trying to calculate the net loss/gain based on the formula (New rate – Old rate) * Total Days / Hours
When I try to create it via the add field section I can’t see to separate these 3 fields and it looks at each one collectively. Could you help?
