Hi,
I'd like to add a section of a form to read a UPC Bar Code (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Product_Code) off a tag on a box or device or on a checklist.
THIS IS NOT A QR READER REQUEST.
Here is the strategy:
If I am replacing a device in the field, I scan the old device barcode and then the new barcode. I then submit the JotForm. This will update the database of devices in the field with the UPC of the new device and create a history of the device lotion and track what happened to the old unit (trash, recycle, repair, etc...) Using additional fields in the JotForm.
The UPC is tied to a database which when the SQL is queried, will pull up the related information on that device.
Being able to scan and record a bar code in a JotForm would be a very valuable tool.
Cheers,
Doug

Hi Doug,
I've found three barcode reader widgets that are pending in our list. Unfortunately, that's all I know and I'm not sure when our developers will release one of the widgets. I would suggest subscribing to our widget news: https://secure.jotformpro.com/form/50151438052950 so you will be notified for updates.
Thank you.
