I have been using Jotform on my site for awhile and this last month we started seeing the referral url as submit.jotform.com instead of the original one that the visitor came to our site with. Any ideas? I've attached a screenshot.

That is because JotForm's URL redirection is initiated after the form is submitted. It is submit.jotform.com that does the redirection, hence it appears as the referral URL in your Google Analytics account.

But why is this just now happening? We've had this form for a year now.
Did you see anything on the page that could be causing this? Are there any settings in jotform (like postdata) that I need to be looking into?
Overwriting the referrer url kind of defeats the purpose of tracking submissions.

Sorry but I have no idea how the referral URL in your setup could be anything other than submit.jotform.com.
Your Google Analytics tracking code is placed on your thank you URL (http://www.mozzafiatobythesea.com/thank-you/), which is loaded after the form is submitted.
All JotForm submissions are processed by submit.jotform.com. There is no way to bypass this.
If what you intend is to track URL's wherein form submissions are made, try these methods instead:

Thanks for the response. I think what I actually need is to add "?utm_nooverride=1" to the end of my custom URL in the thank you page redirect. I believe the problem is that http://submit.jotform.com is getting set as the origin URL when it sends the visitor back to my thank you page. Adding this to the end of the URL will hopefully tell Google Analytics to not override the original cookie the visitor recieved when they first came to our site (actual origin URL). Let's see if it works.

Adding the "?utm_nooverride=1" to the end of my thank you page custom URL seems to have fixed the issue. I have had many submissions in the past year and all have been properly attributed to the original source. I have however seen this same issue pop up in a couple other sites. It might be nice if jotform had some way of automatically adding it to the URL. It's weird though because it doesn't happen all the time, it comes in spurts and then stops. Might be a bug to look into. If you need data for multiple sites I have a few that might help.

It is great that you shared with us that workaround to make Google Analitics to override submit.jotform.com and take the original source URL where the form might be embedded

Hello, I have the string appended to my thank you page URL.… This seems to have reduced the problem but not solved it entirely. I am still seeing one or two referrals credited back to Jotform per day. See my screenshot here:
Was there an announcement that told us that you were changing your system and that this could potentially destroy months worth of performance marketing data for large part of your customer base? This is a new problem over the past 12 months… It was not like this before, things were changed without my knowing on your side.
