Automatically filling a field based on answerAsked by adminlightingdirect on September 21, 2015 at 08:17 PM
Is it possible to fill in a field with automatic answer based on what they put in another field. I know you can use conditions to do this to a certain level. I am wanting to this on a much larger scale.
What I want is people to put their ID number and it pull through their information i.e name, position etc. I have all this information on a spreadsheet. So if they enter 1111 it would know 1111 name is Chris etc. There is a lot of ID numbers but I have all this information on an excel spreadsheet
I know this is quite advanced so might not be possible, but had to try!
Unfortunately it is not possible to achieve your requirement currently. Please be noted that we do not have feature to read the data from any external source or previous submission data of form.
If you want to fill a fields with hard coded value, you can take advantage of our "Update a form field value" condition feature.
