Paypal not accepting American Express

Hello,

I recently setup our PayPal pro account and setup a form with this tool intrgrated which works for what seems to be everything but American Express we get "Credit card type unsupported". This is a US account in which we are using a card from the US to, any ideas?

The credit card payments are being accepted/declined by PayPal. According to this PayPal helpcenter article, depending on your type of business, you might not be able to accept American Express credit card payments. We are looking into this issue also. 

Did you find a workaround for your clients to pay via the PayPal Payments Pro with their American Express cards from the US?

any further news as to why Paypal web pro account isn't accepting amex? in australia?

Actually there are restrictions by Paypal, which credit card will be accepted, please check this link Paypal Payments Pro: Regional Differences under the "Regional Differences" section. If the customer is located in Canada or UK, unfortunately, Paypal won't accept credit card payments from Amex.
