Confusing label for save button after editing post.Asked by imnresource on September 27, 2015 at 01:04 PM
The button used to save an edited post is labeled "Edit". This is confusing because the user has just finished editing the post and does not wish to edit it again, but rather to save it. Perhaps the button could be labeled "Save"?
For clarity, here's what happened:
I was looking at a forum thread and wished to edit one of my posts.
I clicked "Edit" (this one is NOT the confusing button... read on.)
On the "Your Answer" / "Update Question" screen I made the updates to my post.
I then looked for a way to save my changes but all I could find was the confusing "Edit" button.
I clicked the confusing "Edit" button and found that it had saved my changes.
I completely agree with you.
Let me send a request to our back end team to change the button label to "Save". We will get back to you as soon as we have any update from them.
