    hello,

is it possible to create a form with a payment integration of Paypal, such that it will not be possible to submit the PayPal form until the payment was completed?

    Hi,

When the user clicks the submit button, it will direct the user to a secure payment gateway. He/she can then complete the transaction there, however, if the user did not continue on doing the payment or he/she did not complete the transaction, the submission will be marked as "Incomplete Payment". Please do refer to this guide to learn more about it: http://www.jotform.com/help/564-how-to-view-incomplete-payments-of-your-payment-forms/

    I hope that helps.

    hi,

i have Paypal pro account and i understand that with this kind of Paypal account it is possible that it will not redirect the applicant to another website but will do it straight from the form. is that right?

if so how do i configure that it won't redirect my applicant (or is it automatic?) + is it possible that this way it won't be possible to submit until the payment was approved?

    thanks!

    Hi,

If you will be using Paypal Pro integration, it will allow your customers to pay directly on the form, but only if they will be using a credit card. If they'll pay using Paypal account they will still be redirected to the Paypal payment gateway, this is needed to make sure that the transaction will be processed securely in the Paypal side. Here's a guide to learn more the difference of the standard Paypal to Paypal Pro: http://www.jotform.com/help/183-Difference-Between-PayPal-PayPal-Pro

is it possible that this way it won't be possible to submit until the payment was approved?

The user will be able to submit the form, but if they did not complete the payment or transaction, it will be marked as Incomplete Payment and it will not be listed in your submissions page grid list. You also mentioned about approved, would you like to manually charge the user by capturing or denying the payment? That is possible by enabling the authorization option, here's how to: http://www.jotform.com/help/292-How-to-Enable-Payment-Authorization

Do let us know if you need more information on this.

thanks a lot for your patience!

will an applicant get a notice that the payment wasn't successful? or is it possible it will submit the form without him/her knowing it didn't go through?

i believe most my applicants will pay through credit card and not through paypal account:

    1. is it as secure to pay directly from the form by credit card?

    2. will it save the credit card information as part of all the information of the form? - which means that it will send it to me as part of the email notification when its submitted. (and over the email its not secure)

    3. if so, do i need to encrypt my form in order to make sure that all the credit card information is safe?
could you please provide me with more information about the encryption Keys it is asking for when i change to encrypt mode at the settings.

    thanks a lot again!

    Hi,

No worries, I'm glad the information above helps.

Regarding your concern, the user/customer should be able to know if the transaction went through because he/she will receive an email from Paypal (by default) that they made a transaction as a confirmation. You, as the merchant, should also receive an email (directly from Paypal) that a payment was made.

If they will be paying by their credit card, they should also receive an email confirming that they made a transaction.

    1. is it as secure to pay directly from the form by credit card?

Yes, this is secure and processed by Paypal directly using API. You can also make your form more secure by using SSL enabled forms. You can learn more about it here: http://www.jotform.com/help/63-How-can-I-receive-SSL-Submissions

    2. will it save the credit card information as part of all the information of the form? - which means that it will send it to me as part of the email notification when its submitted. (and over the email its not secure)

We do not process payments, this means we do not capture or store credit card information in our servers. Using API, the credit card information is passed to your payment processors (Paypal) directly. This means the credit card won't show in the email notification or in the submission.

For the 3rd question, I opened a separate thread for it so that we can better assist you, you can refer to this link for that concern: http://www.jotform.com/answers/673657. We will address that shortly.

    Thank you.
