When creating a form for a bookable event, is it possible to set the form to remain closed until a set time, then open for submissions?

    Hi,

You can disable your form in some hours with JotForm easily.

Please, check the guide below :

I hope that, it will work.

I was looking for the opposite - enabling the form at a set time or after a period of time had elapsed.

    Hello MembershipSec,

Unfortunately we do not have such feature to automatically enable form on certain date/time but with a little workaround, it is possible to achieve your requirement.

Here are the steps you should follow:

#1. Add a date field in form and set the default date to today's date.

#2. Add a time field and set the default time.

#3. Add condition in form to check if the current date is any specific date and the time fields as specific time on which you want to enable the form. If the condition is met, then all the form field should be displayed. The following guide should help you: http://www.jotform.com/help/297-Show-or-Hide-multiple-fields-at-once-using-form-collapse-tool

#4. You can add an error message in form and if the condition does not match, then display the error message.

Please take a look at the following demo form and see if this works as expected. It is set to display the form on October 07, 2015 at 10:00 AM:  http://form.jotformpro.com/form/52785202820957?

Feel free to clone this form for a closer look. The following guide should help you in form cloning:  http://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

Thank you - yes, I'm sure that will work for my purposes. Thank you for taking the trouble to reply and lay it out so clearly. I'm embarrassed I couldn't have thought of that myself - but I am old! Well done.
