How can I enable the attachment of a kml or kmz file to my forms?

I followed jotform instructions for attaching a file, and it said it can't upload my export.kml file.

The kml and kmz files are used with programs like Google Earth.  We need to collect and share this info when a form is create it

Looking at the screenshot of your form showing the error as well as confirming the same in your form, I can see that the attachments have not been added to the allowed list.

Please do check out the following guide to add the kml and kmz extensions to the list of allowed ones: Upload Field Allowed File Types

It is only important to make sure that there is a comma and a space (, ) before the extension that you are going to add into the list. After the last however, there should be neither of the two.

As you do, please do click on OK to save the change, otherwise it would not be saved.

So for you, you should add:

    , kml, kmz

at the end of the current list.

or if you want to have only those two extensions as allowed, then you should remove all others currently added and add this instead:

    kml, kmz

Once you do and click on OK, the form should work properly for you.

Do let us know how it goes.
