    Feedback form not working when embedded

    Asked by windirect on October 10, 2015 at 02:08 PM

    Hi Guys,

    we have constant problems with the various browsers. The feedback form is not working when embedded. For this reason, we have installed the feedback plugin. Unfortunately, that does not work.

    On the right, you see the plugin.

    The feedback script seems conflicting with your website scripts causing it to malfunction as shown on your screenshot.

    First, may I suggest to switch your feedback script to the prototype version. See if this helps.

    To do that, simply remove the number "2" after feedback found on the first line of the code.

    Example: Remove the 2 in red color.

     <script src="https://form.jotform.com/static/feedback2.js?3.3.REV" type="text/javascript">

    If this doesn't help, please let us know the exact page where you have embedded the feedback form so we can check it here.

    Thank you!

    okay. I've tried. The form is not mobile friendly. Is there a setting?

    In Firefox 41.0.1 step 2 does not work!

    Thanks for Help!

    Could you please provide us with a link to the page where the form is embedded, so that we can better assist you?

    > In Firefox 41.0.1 step 2 does not work!

    By "step 2" not working, I assume that you meant navigating to the second page is not working. If that is correct, please try removing the number 2 from the feedback script:

     <script src="https://form.jotformeu.com/static/feedback2.js?3.3.REV" [...]

    So that the script will start with this instead:

     <script src="https://form.jotformeu.com/static/feedback.js?3.3.REV"

    > The form is not mobile friendly. Is there a setting?

    I see that your form is already mobile responsive when it is accessed through its direct link. If you need assistance with the feedback popup itself being made mobile responsive, we will be happy to help, but it would be best to see the form in action on your page for us to provide you with the best codes.

    Without seeing the page where the form is embedded, I can recommend adding the following CSS to your website (and not to the form):

    .jt-feedback.ui-draggable { width: 100%; max-width: 700px; }

    And setting width of your feedback script to false, instead of leaving default value 700.

    It makes the feedback popup fully responsive on my end, please let us know how it goes. We will await your response. Thank you.
