In my business, we need to send emails to customers about the procedure to be followed to obtain product/service.
Now this product or service has many variants and thus we need to send different email matter as per requirement of the customer.
So I want to add a widget or tool to my web site which is very compact and has a drop down menus linked with other drop down menus and a text box and a submit button.
It will work as below:
User select an item from drop down menu 1, the list will change accordingly in drop down menu 2,
then user select appropriate option from drop down menu 2, and so on.... there may be 4-5 drop down list and then user will enter his/her email ID and click submit button.
Then a predefined matter will be emailed to him automatically.
This is going to help us a lot.
Please guide me how can i make use of your tools to solve my issue.

Thank you for contacting us. There are a couple of ways to accomplish what you are looking for. The easiest way would be to use the DYNAMIC DROPDOWN widget. This will enable to to create dynamically different levels of dropdowns depending on the selection. The other would be to use lots of dropdowns and use the SHOW/HIDE condition to display or hide the proper dropdown.
Jotform contains the feature Autoresponder Notification. Once a user submits a form, he will automatically receive an email to the address he enter in the form.
I have created a small sample so you may review and see how this works. You may clone the form if you like.
Please let us know if this helps.
- dsignsoftechAnswered on December 30, 2015 at 01:45 AMHello Victor,
Your sample form is good. However it may not solve my purpose.
What I basically need is, when user for example select A > A1 , specific
email mater relating to topic 1 will be emailed to him.
But if he selects A > A2 then topic 2 matter will be emailed to him. like
this.Further if this form can be made in very compact size for example like a
notification bar or a small icon on any side of our website and when user
click on it, a pop up frame will come and user then may select appropriate
option from drop down and enter his email and respective matter will be
emailed to him.
Please visit our website www.dsignsoftech.com
We do not want to add a new web page, instead a kind of widget like you can
see other widgets are there already on our website.

For your scenario, you need to use the condition called "Change Email Recipient" in the "Conditions" wizard. Below, you will see the demo form which sends different email templates with respect to the user choice:
In addition, the related condition structure needs to be similar with the following one:

Also, I opened another thread for your second question. You can easily reach it from the following URL:
It will be answered right away.
- dsignsoftechAnswered on December 30, 2015 at 08:45 AMOK thanks for your help.
I will try and let you know..
Further if I use Mandrill account with it, then how many mails I can send?
Will your limit of 100 response of free account be applicable or my
Mandrill account limit?
- JotForm UI DevelopermertAnswered on December 30, 2015 at 09:09 AM
You are most welcome. If we come to your new question, Mandrill has a 2000 limit for a free trial and we have 100 submissions for Free plan, so if you don't upgrade your account to upper plans, you can only get 100 responses in one month.
In addition, you can check the contents and the prices of the plans from our Pricing Page.
- dsignsoftechAnswered on December 30, 2015 at 09:45 AMBut we are not receiving any response from your end.. On the other hand we
are sending email via our servers using Mandrill app.
- JotForm UI DevelopermertAnswered on December 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM
There is no submission on your current form, that's why you don't receive any emails from your form. If you try to submit a test submission from your form, you will receive a email from JotForm about the content of the submission.
In addition, you can customize that receiving email. You can see the steps from the guide about it:
Also, you can use Mandrill app as long as you want unless you don't have any shortage on your submission limit.
- dsignsoftechAnswered on December 30, 2015 at 10:45 AMOk.
And what if I do not want any submission to receive on our email. We just
want to send to clients and customers..
Is it possible without any limit in free account?
- BorisAnswered on December 30, 2015 at 12:45 PM
Yes, as mentioned in the guide, you will be setting your own recipient email address to which email notifications would be sent.
If you do not wish to receive submission emails to your address, simply enter only the address of your clients in the recipient email field of your email notification.
Same if you use the conditional logic for sending the notification to different addresses based on selected answers, as my colleague mert demonstrated above. Simply use only the recipient email addresses where you wish to receive the submissions.
All this is possible in a free account, without any limits in terms of features, though free accounts are limited to receiving only up to 100 submissions per month. You can check the number of available submissions and storage space for each plan on our pricing page:
If you need assistance with anything else, please do not hesitate to open a new support thread about it, and we will be happy to assist.
- dsignsoftechAnswered on December 31, 2015 at 03:45 AMHi,
I made it successfully.
Please answer my one more query also.
I have added 4 auto-responder in it. all are conditional one.
What if I add notifier too which will be non conditional, when any user
submit any form, 2 submissions will be counted or single?
- BorisAnswered on December 31, 2015 at 08:59 AM
We are glad to hear that you've got it working.
Please don't worry, you can add another email notification to the form - one submission will still count as one submission, regardless of whether it is being sent to one email address, or to multiple.
If you add another non-conditional email notification, that email notification would be sent to the email address set in the Recipient Email field of that notification.
If you have any other questions, please do open a new support thread for each of them, and we will be happy to help. :)
- dsignsoftechAnswered on December 31, 2015 at 09:45 AMThanks for your support.
