i was trying the Purchase Order widget and i also had the same experience as @casssiopeia.
fig. 1 shows the no special pricing feature. as you can see, the total adjusts accordingly.
but for fig. 2 which has the special pricing feature (discounted price of $40 is given if the orders are 4 and above), the subtotal and total amount doesn't reflect the actual result.
did i make a mistake in setting up the P.O. widget?
here's the live form.
[fig. 1 (no special pricing feature)]
[fig. 2 (with special pricing feature)]
[fig. 3 (special pricing per quantity)]

I understand that you would like to have different ticket price depending on how many tickets is going to be purchased. However, if you set a special pricing per quantity, you may need to input the total of it already. Meaning, you will input the total price manually base on the different price per quantity multiplied by the quantity.
I also understand that the price for the product may appear like
and might set confusion, unlike what you are proposing.
May I suggest for you to have it like this instead, https://form.jotform.com/52804666922966?
Or you can also recreate the whole product selection using form fields and just pass the total calculation of the purchase to the Purchase Order widget using this guide: How-to-pass-a-calculation-to-a-payment-field
I hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.

thanks for the clarification, Mike_G.
i initially thought of the Special Price Edit Option quantity matrix as being similar to a checkbox / dropdown calculation values wherein you put the corresponding calculation values for the options.
i learned more about correctly setting up the Special Price on the How to add options to Payment Forms user guide.
