Google Drive Integration: Folder name not properly showing in Drive and Google Drive link is set to "undefined"

I'm not sure what's going on but in the middle of testing:

    1. First, images that are uploaded have stopped downloading into drobox and google drive

    2. Suddenly now, images that used to show up in the downloaded PDF are no longer included. It actually went from showing all, to showing one, and now none.

Including a snap of the PDF. The list of images should be showing up between 'Requested Admission' and 'Please let us know... ". Now, I had another upload form I tested with the integration, and that form did in fact download images to dropbox. But this form that I have been testing and fixing the last two days has just stopped working. And I have on several occasions, re-integrated them both with dropbox and google drive but with no success in getting images to download.

This is not the first time this has happened. I set up this form a while ago. And in the middle of testing, images stopped downloading to dropbox. I got discouraged and stepped away. Months later (this weekend) I started updating the form and testing. Fr the first several test runs, images were downloading, and the PDF was just fine. But now it seems that along with images no longer downloading, the PDF is misbehaving. It's not entirely a deal breaker since we can access the images through the email BUT the purpose of this is to be able to have someone pick up this info from either dropbox or google drive independent of the emails.

Please let me know what's going on.

    Thank you!

As for the integration, you will have to finalize first the form before integrating it to Google Drive and Dropbox. That is to make sure that the integration won't stop because of the changes afterward. If the current integrations aren't working, I would suggest reintegrating it again.

As for the PDF file, that is because of the customized PDF design. You modified the design and that's causing the images to hide in the PDF file. I've fixed it for you by removing the design.

I'm not sure I understand you when you say "finalize first the form". The form is complete. I will re-do integration and test things.

As far as the PDF. Thank you. I had played around with the PDF design on one of the submissions but at some point when I noticed the images getting omitted I did "Reset" but maybe I did not do it correctly or did it in the incorrect place.

I removed and added both the integrations back into the form but it's still not working. Just the PDF showing up still. Let me know if it has something to do with the "finalize first the form" or if something else is going on.

PDF is working great. Thanks! Just one more question about this though, do you have any idea why the PDF in google drive shows the actual images with name but somehow dropbox pdf does not?

I'm sorry, I mean "finish" the form first. Make sure that no changes will be made after the integration is connected in the form.

As for the integration, it's working for me.

    Google Drive:

Google Drive Integration: Folder name not properly showing in Drive and Google Drive link is set to undefined Image 1 Screenshot 40

    Dropbox:

Google Drive Integration: Folder name not properly showing in Drive and Google Drive link is set to undefined Image 2 Screenshot 51

Would you mind trying to re-integrate again? This time, please use the default folder names and make sure to remove the special characters in the names. For example:

Google Drive Integration: Folder name not properly showing in Drive and Google Drive link is set to undefined Image 3 Screenshot 62

This is to see whether the issue is on your folder settings.

    Note that Dropbox won't accept the characters such as \ / : ? * " | in folder names.

    Thanks

The image issue in PDF file from Dropbox has been moved to this thread: http://www.jotform.com/answers/680063.

    Thanks

    Ok. Thanks.

As mentioned in a previously in this thread, I can use a different form (that is now in my trash) that's been integrated with dropbox and it works fine. It's just this form that won't work. It worked previously and while I was still working on it (not final). So I don't understand how it works for a little bit and then stops. I would think that if I stepped away from testing this form for awhile it might start to work as this is what happened before... many months ago, I stopped working on the form, came back to it this weekend and was thrilled that drobox and google drive was working. But then after fixing up the form and testing it over the weekend it suddenly stopped. So I don't understand what's happening.

I understand and our apologies for the troubles.

I would suggest trying my suggestion to use the default folder settings to see if that will fix it. If not, we will look at it further or submit it to our developers.

    Thanks

Ok. So I did a bunch of testing.

I re-integrated using your settings in screencap and it did not work.

I re-integrated using the User Defined default "Jotform", and kept the other dropdowns in their default and it worked. BUT this was the only time. My last test, I re-integrated using this same folder and got no images.

Prior to this last test though, I re-integrated and created a new folder a more simple name of Artist Info Form, picked the Date as Submission folder name and the event title as the extended folder name. Nothing. I also decided to try this folder name but the other drop downs at default and nothing.

Tried it re-integrating with a few new folder names (abiding with not using any weird characters) and nothing.

    ----

    - decided to try the dropbox integration that worked above,
Soooo, I just removed the "Jot Form" folder so that I could re-integrate dropbox and have it create it's default user defined folder as a new folder. Kept the dropdown the same, no images.

So I have no idea what the heck is going on. All this testing is using up my submission allotment. I'll only be able to test for a little bit more until it resets next month. :(

Please note, I have been focusing on dropbox at this point

.  I did one test on google drive with the default settings and got nothing. I am actually not sure if google drive downloaded the images the one time that dropbox downloaded the images – I don't think I had changed the folder name in google drive at this point.

    Hope this all makes sense

    Hi,

I'm sorry for the trouble that you are having right now.

I think it would be best to make separate threads for the issues you are having, I think we might get confused to what to focus on this thread, if it is on Google Drive, Dropbox or in the PDF. I see that my colleague has already opened a separate thread for the PDF issue.

I will open a separate thread for the Dropbox integration, please refer to this link for that: http://www.jotform.com/answers/680162. We will address it shortly.

For the meantime, we will focus on your problem regarding Google Drive in this thread (http://www.jotform.com/answers/679991). Let me check your previous post and make some test in my end about Google Drive, I will get back to you on this thread immediately after my tests, for the meantime, please do refer to the other links for the other issues you are having.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Hi,

So far, it seems like there are problems in the Google Drive integration, I'm not quite sure if this is the same problem you are having. Here are my observations:

First problem, when you integrate then re-opened the Integrations wizard, it shows the folder link "undefined"

    Here's my original folder link

Google Drive Integration: Folder name not properly showing in Drive and Google Drive link is set to undefined Image 1 Screenshot 50

When I re-opened the integration, the link is now changed and is now "undefined"

Google Drive Integration: Folder name not properly showing in Drive and Google Drive link is set to undefined Image 2 Screenshot 61

Second problem, when I first setup the integration, the folder path should be "Root of Google Drive/Name or title of the form/submission time"

Google Drive Integration: Folder name not properly showing in Drive and Google Drive link is set to undefined Image 3 Screenshot 72

When you check the Google Drive folder, it shows the name of the folder is "New Folder", which is incorrect, it should be the name of the form or the one we setup in the integration wizard.

Google Drive Integration: Folder name not properly showing in Drive and Google Drive link is set to undefined Image 4 Screenshot 83

I will forward this to our developers to have it checked and fixed. But I believe some of the problem mentioned are the ones you are experiencing. Please let us know if that's the one you are having.

Thanks for this. It's not something I even noticed. That being said, I re-integrated and am not getting the error you are showing (but maybe it's been fixed!).

However some other things have come to light
    http://www.jotform.com/answers/680162-Dropbox-integration-Unable-to-receive-submissions-and-file-uploads/?entrymessage=10732640770

In a nutshell, I have two forms. The first one is here:
    http://form.jotform.com/51086666613156

This form captures the session ID (and adds both a Unique ID and the submission ID) and is added to the url of the second form here:
    http://form.jotform.com/51039403182144

Turns out that using the form with the session ID, which is the way I have set it up, is what is preventing dropbox from downloading images. I just tried it both with and without a session ID with drive and it looks like the same issue. Without session ID the images download, with session ID the images do not download.

Hope this helps in resolving this issue. Thanks!

    Hi,

Thank you for the additional information, indeed that information seems to be vital as we are missing the first form and the session ID in your current process flow at first.

This current thread we have has already been escalated to our developers with a different issue (the ones I mentioned), so I went ahead and opened a separate thread with that possibility of an error related to session ID (same with Dropbox), you can check this link: http://www.jotform.com/answers/680829 for that. That will help us isolate all the errors we're seeing. We will address that one accordingly.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.
