Field hints (placeholders) are not shown on Apple devicesAsked by cobberdiggerblue on October 13, 2015 at 02:26 PMHeres another problem we have with the contact forms that are displaying in our website. We get blank hint fields all the time. If you open this in any apple computer or device, iphone and ipad 90% of teh time the field hints will not display?? Its like the device is still waiting for the form fields to load. What is happening with this and how do we fix is because we cant launch our new site until this one thing is fixed?
See image here on the pay per click page, see teh field hints missing? This happens on all the other pages in the site also.
Can you please tell us if you experience the same issue when you go to the form directly? http://www.jotform.co/form/52735301550851
I made some research, but it seems that there are no bugs for iOS and placeholders - at least not ones that make them not shown, so I presume that the issue could be caused by the embedding code.
After checking your website: http://viperonline.com.au/pay-per-click-advertising/ I see that the form is embedded using the js embed code, so if the form works over direct link, you should be able to resolve this issue by embedding your form with iframe embed code: How to get the jotform iFrame Code
Do let us know how it goes.
No if i click on this link it opens fine in my browser on PC - http://www.jotform.co/form/52735301550851
ok i will give the iframe embed code a go.
You are welcome Jason. Please do let us know how it goes for you after tests.
