How many widgets are too many widgets?

In another thread (Another deluge of customer complaints saying the form doesn't work!?!) in one of the responses they said"... you have several widgets maybe they are conflicting with each other."  Which got me wondering how many widgets are too many widgets in a form so there aren't any conflicts?

Hello Julie,

There are no limits on the number of widgets that can be used on a form you can use multiple widgets of the same kind with the exception of payment widgets.

In some cases a user's browser may freeze if a form has several widgets because of the number of resources being loaded simultaneously.
