When I add a Birthday picker control to my form (from the quick tools menu) and make the field required, site visitors get caught in a validation trap if they miss one of the date parts.
If I use the date picker control to capture date of last dentist visit, some people might answer with all 3 date parts MM/DD/YYYY, but others might answer with only a MM/YYYY. When the field is required but only Month and Year are entered, these visitors will NOT see the standard error styling surrounding the field as would appear around any other field with invalid content. The same happens if you enter only DD/YYYY or MM/DD.
HOWEVER. If you leave only 2 of the date parts, then click in to select the 3rd part but choose the blank value, it will then appear correctly as an invalid field.
So this is limited to the people who only complete 2 date parts and also never click into the 3rd date part before clicking submit.
I put together a sample here: http://form.jotform.com/form/20124240056Page URL:

In the meanwhile, you can use a DateTime element instead of Birth Date Picker element to solve the problem.

Is it possible to change the order to yyyy-mm-dd ? I don't see that option and it would really be helpful.
