    French JotForm builder: Have incorrect translations or labels

    Bonjour,

    la traduction en français laisse vraiment à désirer et certains mots sont carrément incompréhensibles ! Par exemple quand on veut dupliquer un bloc dans un formulaire, à côté du symbole "+" dans un rond vert, il est écrit "passworde" : cela ne veut rien dire, et certainement pas "dupliquer".

    Cela faisait longtemps que je n'étais pas venu créer un formulaire avec Jotform, et je n'avais pas souvenir que la traduction était aussi horrible. Je ne comprends pas ce qui a pu se passer puisque par ailleurs, les fonctionnalités proposées sont très intéressantes.

    Hi

    dans "Préférences", "Limites du formulaire", "Souscription unique", que signifient ces traductions : "chèque en vrac" et "case stricte ???". C'est incompréhensible !

    Could you perhaps send us some translation of these options?

    You can help us translate by following this guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/55-JotForm-Languages.

    Here are the labels or text that seem to have bad translation to French as you have mentioned:

    1. "Unique Submission" - "Souscription unique"

    2. "Use Cookies(Loose Check) or IP Address(Strict Check) to prevent multiple submissions." - "Passwored"

    Drop down list:

    3. "No Check" - "Pas de vérification"

    4. "Loose Check" - "chèque en vrac"

    5. "Strict Check" - "case stricte ???"

     

    I have forwarded this to our backend to see if they can have a better translation on this part of the form builder, I'm not well versed on French so I'm unable to fix it. If you have a better translation of them in French, please let us know.

    You can help us in translation by first logging in to www.jotform.com. At the bottom part of the page, change it to the language you like, under that click the "Help Us Translate JotForm".

    All right, I found the link. However, I don't understand how to use your tool: by default, it purposes an "original string" that can be changed by clicking on "back" or "skip". How do we find the word or expression we want to translate? I won't spend an hour to find it! Or do I have to write in the block above the original word/expression with my translation proposal?

    For example: "ar9am" => "captcha"

    The tool randomly gives you a text string that can be found in the form builder then you can input the translation on the text area. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use it to find the specific text.

    However, rest assure that the bad translations have already been forwarded to our back end to have it checked and fixed. Apologies.
