    Was Jotform down last night?

Asked by jimbolgs on January 16, 2012 at 07:30 AM

Hello, one of my customers received an enquiry for 'noreply@jotform.com' last night and has come to the conclusion that your site malfunctioned.

He also sent some test forms through and didn't receive them for an hour or so.

It's all working now with correct details coming through quickly but he is talking about cancelling his account and changing the way people make enquiries through his site because he doesn't trust Jotform now.

Can you tell me if the site was down or if there was a problem last night so I can put him at ease?

    Thanks.

We had no broad reports with any issues with the site and/or email delivery last night.

From your post, I gather that it was the delivery of emails specifically that was the problem rather than availability of users forms, is that correct?

You have to remember that if it was a problem with emails not being delivered in a timely fashion, it could also have been some kind of problem with this email provider itself.

Perhaps it may be an idea to add a second email address to any form notifications as some kind of backup ?

I am sorry that I am unable to point you in the direction of something more specific but as I have already said, we had minimal issues last night; with over 600,000 users, we do tend see any issues affecting users broadly reported frequently and very quickly.
