Is It Possible to Have Multiple Instances of a Dropdown Updated Across Multiple Forms?

Asked by cenglish26 on October 19, 2015 at 04:35 PM

Hi, I have a drop down list with over 40 items that is used on several of my forms.   Every time there's a change to that drop down list I have to do it in many places.   Is there a way to create one drop down, and share the options with other drop downs on the same form, and on other forms under my account?

Sorry but to my knowledge we have no such feature. The best I can suggest would be to update the options in a text file and then copy the text from that file to your clipboard and paste it over the options (overwrite the options) of each form's relevant dropdown. I'm guessing this is what you do already though. Am I right?

Incidentally, a search of this forum has revealed that there's at least one other user requesting something quite similar.
