I have made several changes to my form, clicked save then when I retuned only the date time stamp was actually changed.
Now the save icon is just spinning.
Is there a problem with the site?

We don't have any information regarding that, but by what you report it seems that your session ended and that you need to log in again.
You can check this by opening a new browser window of Jotform and see if it's displaying the login message on the top of the screen:
