Passing input values inside the Header or Text field are not passed correctly in multilingual form

Asked by David on October 26, 2015 at 04:50 PM

I have successfully used your proposed method to use 'variables' in a html text field. It works  perfectly fine. However, once I add a second language and translate the html text field, the 'variables' display as {variable} in the final form and the desired value doesn't appear, although I edited the translation in the html source code.

Is there anything I haven't considered?

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    Best,

    David

I have inspected your form: http://www.jotformeu.com/form/52953785904367 and I was able to replicate mentioned issue. I have also inspected your form and you have set correct 'variables' when you translated your form. From what I saw this is happening because when form language is changed form is loaded again and when that happened form is not passing previously state with data entered.

I have made demo form with only text field and text box field https://form.jotform.com/52986515219969?. When data are entered in English form is passing values correctly. However when language is changed form will not pass previously entered data. Only when previously entered value is changed it will pass correct data.

I will escalate this issue to our developer and we will inform you via this thread once this issue is resolved.
