If there was some magic LOOKUP widget, that you could type an email address, and it auto-completes to emails matching already submittted, then retrieves the correct EDIT link associated with the existing record that contains that email address (one time granted).

    Hi,

Please check the user guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/40-how-to-let-users-update-their-form-submissions-at-a-later-date/

This can be achieve using the email and EDIT Link of the form submissions.

The end user need not to search for the email address on the form, but they can instead open their email and they will have the ability to edit their own submission using the edit link.

Hope this help. Let us know if you need further assistance on this.

Thanks for replying so quickly but unfortunately that wouldn't be suitable for us as the users are physically at our centre and we hand them tablets with the form - there is no time for them to login to email accounts and click links etc - needs to be a quick lookup system.

Appreciate this can't be done but thanks again for the response!

Thank you for providing more details.

Base on your added details, I think it will be appropriate to use Webhooks on Jotform instead.
