What's the difference between a notification email alert and an autoresponder email alert?

Asked by jennifergsg on January 18, 2012 at 01:47 PM

If I have a notification set up with my email as recipient AND one autoresponder set up with this tag {edit_link} in the body so that the client gets a copy of their answers (either as a record or so they can go back in and edit/complete), is that sufficient?  Do the purposes I've outlined make sense as a notification and an autoresponder or should they both be autoresponders?

    Thanks.

A notification email is so you, as the owner of the form, or someone associated to you, is made aware that one your forms has been submitted. ( these emails always get sent to same email address )

You appear to understand exactly what an autoresponder is, its an email sent back to the person who has submitted the form. ( these emails get sent to different email addresses )

Does that answer your question ok?
