Google drive integration but different folder location

    Hello, I was wondering if we can change where jotform create the submission folder in google drive.

     

    Currently all submission is created in the root directory of google drive.

     

    Google root drive

    -form submission folder

         -submissions

     

    is it possible to pick a different folder location within google drive than having it create it on the root.

     

    Google drive root

    -folder 1

       - form submission folder

            -submissions

     

    -folder 2

       - form 2 submission folder

            -submissions

    Hi,

    While setting up the integration, you are presented with options on how to organize the folders in Drive:

    You may need to remove the integration and add it back again in order to adjust the folder settings.

    Hello,

    Right now there is a new way style to integrate google drive. I like the look but I been trying to use it and it is not working. Just stuck on please wait while it integrate the form to the drive.

     

    But I do not need to change the name of the submission folder, i want to change where the main folder is located. 

     

    Like I want the main folder to be in a folder in google drive name say forms\{mainfoldername}\{submissionname}. So the location should be in google drive in the forms folder in the main folder then the submission name.

    example. I have a form called events. I want to integrate it with google drive. to a specific location in google drive.

    google drive\forms\events\submissions

    To change the main folder, you would indeed need to remove the integration and add it back again.  From the new UI:

    The middle entry is the main folder name and the sub folder is the second entry.  Change the middle portion above where is put "main" in my screenshot to change the main folder.

    Thank you. I understand. but I dont think you understand my question or issue. I would like to have the main folder in another folder in the google drive. I do not want it to be in the root of google drive. 

    so say in my google drive say i have 3 folders that i currently have for 3 different departments. I would like to create a form that I can use the google drive to save into one of the folders for the department. So when i make 3 different forms for the 3 different department i know which department the form is from.

    googledrive\department1\mainfolder\submissionfolder

    googledrive\department2\mainfolder\submissionfolder

    googledrive\department3\mainfolder\submissionfolder

    This way i can have many forms for each departments separated out by department forms.

     

    Currently it is saving in googledrive as

     

    googledrive\mainfolder1\submissionfolder

    googledrive\mainfolder2\submissionfolder

    googledrive\mainfolder3\submissionfolder

     

    Does this make sense?

    Hi,

    You can try moving the forms main folder on another folder. I tried it and it still works.

    Example:

    Form 1 Main Folder/Submission Folder

    Form 2 Main Folder/Submission Folder

    Form 3 Main Folder/Submission Folder

     

    I then created 3 custom folders, Department 1, Department 2 and Department 3. I then moved the main folder of forms to those custom folders.

    It will then have this location:

    Department 1/Form 1 Main Folder/Submission Folder

    Department 2/Form 2 Main Folder/Submission Folder

    Department 3/Form 3 Main Folder/Submission Folder

     

    Basically, you just need to move the Form's main folder to another folder. Let us know if that works. Make sure to make a test submission to see if it works in your end.

    Ok, I got that working where it created into the folder that i wanted by submitted a test then moving the folder it create to the folder that I want. So now we have solved that issue. 

    I have another issue that deals with this. I select the fields to create the submission folder name and it did not grab the field text. I selected the field but it did not fill in with the correct input.

    Say this is how i want the submission folder name to be:

    {Jenzabar ID} - {Full Name} - {Submission Time}. and the folder was created without the input. it just created the folder as is.

    Then I tried to do it this way.

    {JenzabarId} - {FullName} - {Time} and this didnt fill in the input as well.
