    Google Drive Integration: Adding extra characters when using the drop down list to name folder will not work

    I have another issue that deals with this. I select the fields to create the submission folder name and it did not grab the field text. I selected the field but it did not fill in with the correct input.

    Say this is how i want the submission folder name to be:

    {Jenzabar ID} - {Full Name} - {Submission Time}. and the folder was created without the input. it just created the folder as is.

    Then I tried to do it this way.

    {JenzabarId} - {FullName} - {Time} and this didnt fill in the input as well.

    Hi,

    I was able to replicate the problem, when you used the options or items under the drop down list in naming the custom folder, and you add extra characters like "-", then it will not properly work.

     

    I will forward this to our developers to have it checked.

    For the meantime, you can manually rename it without using the drop down field. Here's a quick quick:

    1. First, get the field name, you can find it on the fields "Properties", here's a link that you can refer to: http://www.jotform.com/help/146-How-to-find-Field-IDs-Names.

     

    2. After that, combine the fields name and add it in the Google Integrations setup.

    Example:

    {id} - {fullName} - {email}

     

    The desired folder name will then be based on those inputs. Note: Make sure to erase everything in the input field before manually inputting the custom field names. Let us know if this works.

     

    Regarding the problem we saw earlier, I will forward it to our developers to have checked and fixed.

    Thank you for the quick response. I made it manually and put in the the field from the detail. And I only got the two part working.

    {jenzabarId3} - {fullName} - {time}

    But the {jenzabarId3} didnt work. The other 2 did work. 

     

    I made sure i deleted all the spaces before typing.

    You might need to delete completely the integration and start from scratch the way Charlie explained to you. At any rate, the ticket is now escalated.

    Hi ceu.csupomona,

    What do you mean with {jenzabarId3}?

    The values inside curly braces represents fields in your forms.

    For example, {input_4} represents "Full Name" field in my form.

    So that, if you don't have a field which id is not equal jenzabarId3, it won't work like you expected.

    Hi Omer, 

    That doesn't make sense. All the tags I put were from the property of the field. Yes there is #input_4 which is the ID. But if you look they are using the name. here is mines

    ID: #input_3

    Name: {jenzabarId3}

    ID: #first_4, #middle_4, #last_4

    Name: {fullName4}

    I used {jenzabarId3} - {fullName4} - {time}

     

    So how does the other 2 work but the {jenzabarId3} didnt work. 

     

    And Jeannette,

    I already delete it completely multiple times and I seem to be only getting problems with the first one the others are working.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the inconvenience, I checked your form titled "I-20 Extension", I see you have a field name "Jenzabar ID".

    And the field name for it is {jenzabarId3}

     

    I made a test again and it seems like manually inputting the field names are not working, probably the developers are currently working or updating it. In my end, if I typed in the field names it won't appear in the Google Drive, instead it shows the "Submission Date" as the default one.

    I'll inform our developers about this. Apologies for the inconvenience.

    Ok, so currently there is a problem? And I will have to wait to see if the developer come up with a solution? I guess I won't use that field until the issue is resolved

    Do you want me to remove the integration again then redo it and try it. or should i just test out the form as is?

    You may try the integration as is, but we always recommend you remove the integration and re-integrate it. This is just to make sure that your browser is not holding any bad code.

    If after re-integrating, you are still having issues, please let us know. We will be glad to take another look.
