Limiting number of submissions does not work?

Asked by dellquaysc on January 24, 2012 at 06:56 AM

    Hi

Love your stuff, I am using it to transform the way we do things at our sailing club - many are delighted to see the virtual elimination of paper forms!

It seems the ability to limit the number of submissions to a specific form does not work, option not available when I :

    Setup & Embed >> preferences >> advanced

    help?

    thanks

    Hi Mike,

We have this feature before but it's currently disabled because of server issue. Our developers are still looking into this and will restore the said feature as soon as they can. They need to get rid of the glitches/bugs first before releasing it again, so that it doesn't create any backend issues.

We hope you've understand. Your patience and understanding with regards to this is greatly appreciated. Please stay in touch for updates.

    Thank you so much!

    Hello,

I love your forms, really easy to use and great for the end user. Have there been any developments on the option to limit the number of forms that can be submitted?  Any comments welcomed.

    Thanks.

    Hello Marina,

The option to limit the number of forms submitted is available in the form Advance Settings. Just select Strick Check to prevent multiple submission of the form.

Hope this answer your inquiry. Thanks.

    Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your prompt answer, I would like to limit the number of submissions to only 16 let's say, is that possible?

    Many thanks again.

Unfortunately it is not possible to limit form submissions and disable after reaching a particular number of submissions.

In that case, you will need to keep track of the number of submissions manually and disable the form once the limit is reached. You can disable form by clicking on "Preferences" button and selecting "Disabled" for "Status".

    @Marina,

What my colleague Goldo just stated is correct. And I stand to be corrected.

I should have specifically mentioned that Strick Check option is to have Unique submission and prevent multiple submission on the same form. It is not limit number of submission.

    What does Unique Submission mean?

    Thanks.

Wow, this would have been such a useful feature. Not used often perhaps, but so useful! Another form builder already has it, so what are you guys waiting for?

It caused a problem with some other form functionality and the developers had to disable it. It is often requested and I know the developers are working hard to get into a place where they feel its safe to be reenabled.

Thanks for a quick answer. I have no doubts the developers are doing their best to get this feature reenabled asap.
