    Validation - how to check if 2 fields are equal

    Asked by Filip on January 24, 2012 at 11:48 AM

    On form submit I need to check if 2 form fields contain the same value e.g. "email" & "confirm email". I can't see such option in form builder.

    If it's not possible to achieve with current version can you tell me if JotForm uses internally any javascript validation library? I could change the generated form code to use it. I'm thinking about smth like that:

    <input type="email" name="q6_confirmYour" class="form-textbox validate[Email, SameAs[email]]" (...)>

    There is no option for email validation like that in the form builder.

    Of course this type of validation would probably be relatively straightforward with some javascript, but as you know you would have to embed form source code to do that.

    You are probably better routing questions that are related to your installation of JotForm to jotformsupport [at] gmail [dot] com to see Aytekin and the developers can offer any solutions for you.

    Mark any correspondence with JotForm liciensing so that we are able to quickly identify what exactly the query is in relation to.

    thanks.

    @Filip

    You'll be pleased to know that there's now an option available in the form builder to add a "Confirm Email" field. Please see emrew86's post here.
