How do I pull the dollar amount from the payment field on my confirmation letter?Asked by adea on November 13, 2015 at 11:27 AM2. I am using the payment widget for paypal on my form. I am allowing the people to write in the amount they want to donate. How do I pull the dollar amount from that widget on my confirmation letter?
You can strip the payment labels. Here's how: http://www.jotform.com/help/231-How-to-Strip-Payment-Labels-and-Separate-Payment-Info-on-Email-Alerts.
Thanks so much.
One more question on this issue. I want to be able to have a condition such that if the amount in the total field (part of the payment widget) is greater than 4999, then another field will be displayed. Is this possible? If not, then can I take the info in the total field and have it populate a hidden numeric field and then write a condition to have another field display dependent on the number in the hidden field? I hope this makes sense.
If you use a number field, you can use greater than/less than conditions. You would however need to use a number field, rather than the total from your payment field. Payment field data cannot be used in conditional statements.
You could pass the value of the number field to your payment field, instead of capturing the value directly in the payment field:
