Raffle Ticket Page with unique ID's

Asked by Sentinelvolvo on November 16, 2015 at 10:11 AM

    Hello,

We are selling raffle tickets at our Volvo dealer and I am trying to embed a widget / app to be able to be able to sell it through our website too.

Is there such a thing or something similar by Jotform?

    The form needs:

    * To take payment details and process it. However, we do have the facilities to do it in house using the PDQ machines, provided payment details are taken correctly

    * To generate a unique raffle number according to the respective amount of tickets bought per transaction

    Can you please help me?

    Thanks

Ps. Page for raffle sale not created yet

    Hi,

Your requires should be possible, however, generating the raffle ID's does have some limitations.

    * To take payment details and process it. However, we do have the facilities to do it in house using the PDQ machines, provided payment details are taken correctly

Payment forms are quite easy to set up and we have several different payment processors that can be used:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/47-Order-Form-Basics

    * To generate a unique raffle number according to the respective amount of tickets bought per transaction

We support only one Unique ID widget field per form. However, it is possible to add multiple Random Value Generator widget fields.  The unique ID widget would require you to sell one ticket per form submission, however, the ID's would be sequential.  The random value generator would allow you to create multiple random values.  You could conditionally show them based on the number of tickets purchased:

If you have any further questions or would like any clarification on any of the above, let us know and we will be happy to help.

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like it’s possible, but for me to work it all out it would take another university degree’s time.
Since I am dealing with different widgets, Would you kindly list, step by step what I need to do?
    Thanks so much

If selling 1 ticket per form is acceptable, you would need only add the unique ID widget to your form:

    http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/autoincrement

The widget will automatically increment when a new submission received, giving each submission a unique ID for the raffle.

The add a payment field to your form with a single product:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/165-Setting-Up-Your-First-Order-Form

That product would be your raffle ticket.  While setting up your product, check the "required" options to ensure your form cannot be submitted without including a ticket.

This would be the easiest set up.  If you are not comfortable with a more involved set up, I would recommend sticking with this to prevent confusion.

If anything is confusing along the way, let us know and we will be happy to help.

    Hi, thanks for the message.
I should've been more precise on my email.
There are 4 options of purchase:
    1 raffle ticket for 3
    2 tickets for 5
    5 tickets for 10
Therefore, the widget will need to generate, per transaction, either 1, 2 or 5 unique IDs (raffle numbers).
Is that possible? If so, please advise. Many thanks!

    Hi Vitor,

The scenario that you mentioned is possible with the "Random Value Generator" widget, because you can add that widget multiple times in one form. Also, you need to use the "Show/Hide a Form Field" condition to hide or show the tickets with respect to the users choice.

To give you an idea, the setting for the "Show/Hide a Form Field" condition will be like the following:

Also, you can check the demo from the link below:

I hope this one will meet your needs. If you need more information, please let us know.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the email.
I’ve set up my page according to your email below, after burning off almost all neurons in my brain, it works fine.
The only set back is since we are asking customers for their card details, for security reasons, is there a way to set up this form to be secure and encrypted (https), in order to give customers peace of mind knowing that their card details are being dealt in a proper manner? Is there a widget that during the setting up of the form, I can add? Or should it be done on a page level playing around with the coding of the page?
The form: http://www.sentinelcars.co.uk/sentinel-volvo-raffle-129 (scroll down, tick any ticket option and you’ll see)

    Thanks

    Hello JotForm Support,

I'm also running a raffle and require assistance.

Specifically I need help setting up my form with unique IDs corresponding to raffle ticket numbers and establishing an auto-responder emails to customers with these ticket numbers after payment is collected.

The way I have set the form up is with a two-step authorization form integrated with Stripe. That way we accept payment first then issue the tickets.

Raffle entries and payment information are collected on a JotForm Purchase Authorization Form linked to Stripe. The form includes the cost / ticket ($20) and information the quantity of tickets desired (which is unlimited). We are selling a total of 2000 tickets total.

When the pending payment is taken and routed from JotForm to Stripe, I'd like to send out a confirmation email to those who entered with the quantity of tickets purchased and their corresponding ticket numbers.

Again, I'd like to track the inventory of the tickets sold and also send out autoresponder emails with the unique ticket number(s) AFTER the payment is received.
