This follows on from my previous thread "Problem with conditions" (http://www.jotform.com/answers/705126-Problem-with-conditions#7)
I have altered the way that my form operates, and it now almost works, but I still have a major problem. If I call up a submission to be edited, fields that are hidden by conditions no longer get cleared on resubmission. This means that if I then call up that resubmission for further editing, fields that should start off empty contain their previous contents instead. This confuses my form's logic.Page URL:

I have cloned your form and made some tests, but I am not sure which fields should be cleared on resubmission.
Can you please provide us more details about your issue and we will be happy to assist you.
Looking forward to your reply.

If you fill in and submit the form, then use edit_link to recall the submission, check one of the "click this box to allow data editing" fields and then resubmit the form.
In the resubmitted submision you will find the following fields included, even though they were hidden by conditions and shoud not have been included:-
Click this box to allow data editing (whichever one you had clicked)
Price each £ and Total cost £ (two of each)
These fields are correctly omitted on the original submission.
Because the "Click this box...." field is present in the resubmission, any further attempt to examine/edit the resubmission immediately gets that field set, so dataentry mode is entered straight away. This effectively renders my scheme pointless.
It looks to me as though the submit logic in jotform is distinguishing between a first submission and a resubmission, and is not clearing fields hidden by conditions in the second case.
Incidentally the field "Get page URL" which is the widget of that name is always included in the submission even when hidden by a condition. I feel that this is also a bug.

I was able to replicate your issue when I tried to edit my submission the second time. I'll investigate your form and be back once I found something.

As per further checking, the value for the conditionally hidden fields are save so when the edit link is loaded again the value for the field is also set. It seems the Preference > Advanced Setting > Clear Hidden Field Values : Clear On Submit is not working when you edit the submission. Let me escalate the issue to our development team for them to further check the issue. We will inform you on this thread any updates on the issue.

Hello. Is there any progress on this problem? It is a big nuisance for me.

I'm afraid that our developers are still looking into the issue and working on it, so we do not have any relevant updates at this time. We will let you know through this thread when the issue gets resolved, or if there are any other relevant news about it.
Thank you for your patience while we're working on resolving the issue.

I have moved your concern on a separate thread so we can better assist you. We will attend to your concern on the thread created. You can check it here: https://www.jotform.com/answers/937044.

I'm not sure why they have moved to a new thread. It is eactly the same problem as in this thread. I am still waiting for further news.

We have moved the user's concern to a new thread so that we can properly escalate it to our backend team as well. That way, we can keep track of the amount of user's that are currently experiencing the said bug and inform them if there are any updates. Unfortunately, there is still no news about this issue. I will contact the backend team to see if they have any news. I cannot provide you with an exact time frame for when this will be resolved, but we will keep you updated if we hear any news from them. Thank you.
