How do I remove blank lines in a confirmation letter?

    I have created a custom email confirmation letter.  The first few lines are firstname lastname, companyname, address1 address 2, city, state, zip.  If the company name is empty (in the form it is called {pleaseIndicate}} then I don't want an empty blank line.  Instead I want address 1 to follow immediately after the firstname+lastname line.  Is this possible to do?
