Unfortunately, there is no way to add the edit form link onto a report generated from form submissions.

What I am try to do is create a list of submissions in excel and if the user needs to edit/change the record he can click the link associated with that submission.

I thought about building the link with the id field of the record since I have the formID, but I noticed that it did not match the sid part of the edit url. In the url the last 2 characters are different from the id field in the record. Why is that and is there a way to do this?

Ah Ok, So not on an actual 'JotForm Report' but on an Excel doc of your downloaded submissions?

Yes, this may be possible with some kind of Excel formula; it would mean including the submission id in your Excel download and perhaps manually entering the form id.

Leave it with me for a couple of hours and I will see if i can come up with something.

I have had look into this and have ran into exactly the same problem as you have.

The submission id in the submissions list does not match that used for {sid} when sending out 'edit links' in a notification email.

I believe these two values for submission id should match.

Obviously, this makes building edit links for forms using their 'submission id' from the forms submission list impossible.

I will have to report this issue as a bug and have it routed to our developers to have a look into and see if anything can be done to fix it.
