Cloned forms are affecting the parent form when we edit...

When we clone a form and work on it, it affects the parent form that we have cloned.

Is there a way that we can revert back previous versions to fix this? is there a bug in the system or are we doing something wrong?

Do you have a phone number so that I can go through this with someone?

Can you please tell us if you are referring to the theme (style) of your form by any chance?

Based on what you have mentioned I do believe that this is the case - where you had set some theme for your parent form and then after cloning the form made some changes with style on the child theme that got carried over.

If that is not the case, please do let us know what exactly got changed.

Also, can you tell us what is the clone and what is the main form?

I would also like to mention that there is no phone support offered at this time, but we would be happy to assist over this thread.

The part that changed was the main questions, images we had uploaded, emails it gets submitted too, etc.

The original form was "Redline Well Control Inc.- Management Inspection" and it was cloned to a new name of "TKC- Management Inspection".

This happened to multiple forms.  Is there a way to check the edit history? For some reason I am thinking this is possibly an error by the individual that cloned and edited the form as the emails were changed as well for who the results were submitting too.

Please feel free to ask for better explanations on anything as I am curious if there is a proper and or non proper was to clone a form.

I see you mentioned "Is there a way that we can revert back previous versions to fix this? is there a bug in the system or are we doing something wrong? " at first but I believe my colleague Ben was gathering more information so that we could try to help you better.

Anyhow, Yes there is a way to check your form edits and revisions using our Form Revision History feature.

The form in question was The original form "Redline Well Control Inc.- Management Inspection" and it was cloned to a new name of "TKC- Management Inspection".  The only form ever worked in the was Cloned copy of "Redline Well Control Inc.- Management Inspection"  which was renamed and saved as "TKC- Management Inspection". The theme was not edited. Only the conditions, emails, and title. This edit affected the document which it was cloned from.

If there is an issue with editing forms this way please let us know. As we will have 20-40 copies of a master document and can not have them all be affected by an edit when cloning them.

    Hi,

I've checked your forms and I was unable to replicate your issue,if you are getting issues with the notifications you should try deleting and then creating again the email notification.

Let us know if it works.

    Regards.
