can I insert a formula that calculates a specific date based on a date given by the person fillling the form.

Asked by Tamara Francis  on December 02, 2015 at 04:49 AM

I want to check if a client is permitted to use a document for a visa application.

If the date of the closing balance on their bank statement is more than 31 days before they apply for their visa, they cannot use it.

So if they provide the date of the closing balance and the date they wish to apply for the visa, can the form calculate if there are more than 31 days (in which case they should get an error message or a page with information) or if it is 31 days or less, they can continue on the form.

Also, they provide they provide the date of the closing balance. Can we insert a formula that calculates 28 days back from that date and auto populate a field? E.g. field 1: closing balance is 29th January 2016, the next field (field 2) should auto populate with the 1st January 2016.

The next field (field 3) should then read "what is the lowest amount between "field 1" and "field 2" with the values of those fields being auto populated. Is this possible?
    Thank you

As far as I understand from your thread, You want to show user error message if he/she enters more than 31 days.

It is possible to do this with a Text Tool.

    Here is how to do:

    1) Drag and drop the text tool under the What is the date of the closing balance? filed.

    2) Click on Conditions.

    3) Choose Show/Hide Field option and make the arrangements as you see below.

    Here is how it works:

However, if you choose 32 days it doesn't show the error message. I will try to find another solution.
